It’s my pleasure to bring back on the show Jenny aka MissNewtyGrows on Instagram. Today she comes on the show to talk about the recreational and medicinal benefits of cooking with cannabis.
Jenny offers tips, tricks and simple solutions for when you first start cooking with cannabis.
Her advice is practical and will allow you not to get overwhelmed or intimidated when you first start learning how to cook with cannabis.
Around the 20 minute mark in the show, I think she made an important point about how long you should cook with your cannabis. She said and I quote “the longer you cook with cannabis, the greater the “couch-like” effect it will have on your body. As the THC degrades, it turns into CBN which in turn makes you sleepy.” I think that’s an important statement for you if you’re considering cooking with cannabis.

Genevieve got into cannabis a bit later in her life and often uses edible oil in treating her ailments.
How does a home grower make there own edibles?
– You’ll need some basic tools.
– Oven or a crock pot
– You want to decarboxylate your cannabis because it’s in its acid form. You need to activate it’s THC and CBD.
– Place in the oven between 30 and 50 minutes.
– Take it out of the oven and let it cool. The vapors and terpenes will settle back into the marijuana.
